Gracy — Santa Monica Boudoir Photography

Gracy, Gracy, oh Gracy! Stunning, flirty, sexy, elegant and the list goes on… No, I’m not describing myself ;). I love when my subject brings so many different emotions and faces to the table; it truly makes my job easy! For that my darling G, I thank you!

I can often pinpoint what celebrity my clients look like, but this woman confounded me. I kept trying to tell myself that she just had a “familiar” face, but I just couldn’t shake the fact that she looked like someone. Was it someone I personally knew? Someone famous? For the life of me, I couldn’t figure it out… Until I was checking my lighting with this particular set up. Looking at the back of my camera, I finally figured out who she looks like! It took her making the face below on the right for me to see it: wow does she look like Marilyn Monroe!

Holy Smokes! Jacquee, beautiful work! I’m in love with so many of these… the ones in the veil and the bw’s on the bed in particular. Gracy must be so happy with these. Phenomenal session! xoxo Christa

LOVE these–& you caught so many playful expressions! The second colour one with the veil (with her looking down) is fantastic. And I see sweet, sultry, & sexy–all the little nuances! Congrats to you both! xo

Tia in Paris #2

Shooting near, hell, just being near the Seine was such an amazeballs experience! Yeah, you read that right; I said amazeballs! Really, I should have said phenomaballs, as that’s my personal version of amazeballs. Use it, you have my permission :).

Since the previous pictures of Tia had a more masculine feeling… I thought I’d follow it up with her softer, more playful side, and play we did! This stunningly beautiful mom and I had so much fun on her session!

This dog’s name, like Norman the cat’s, is unknown. This is perfect, as giving animals names is kind of my thing. Hank; I think I’ll call him Hank. The reason why Hank’s true name is unknown, you ask? Well, Hank is not Tia’s dog. Hank belonged to a random pedestrian taking a walk. Yep, that’s how I roll…

Like Hank, Tia did not know these gentlemen. There was an open seat, so why shouldn’t she join them?

She, Julien, and Alphonse (once again, no clue what their real names were) made fast friends! Oh, Tia… thanks for being such a trooper; you are phenomaballs in my book!

Tia in Paris #1

I speak from experience when I say, “Stepping in front of the camera as a photographer can be a very nerve-wracking (yet super freeing) experience.” With that being said, Tia TOTALLY rocked this session out! Not an ounce of nervousness can be seen on this stunning face!

Enjoy…

Stay tuned, more of Tia’s session will be up soon!

Wow! Tia really did rock this session. So beautiful to see how you captured her personality! Amazing job j!

A Man and his Cat

So while in Paris we were walking on a little street in-between the Seine River and Notre Dame; we came upon a man and his cat.

You may be asking yourself “why would she take these pictures?”

To that I say…

a. How often do you see a dude on his bicycle with a cat on his shoulder?

b. I love cats!

c. More importantly I love black cats!

d. He was funny!! After asking if I could take his picture, to which he obviously obliged, he wanted to know what magazine he was going to be in! He went on to make jokes about how he thinks he should make it in Vogue. I think I’ll call them right now… Hey it can’t hurt right?

I never caught the man or his cat’s name, but no matter I named them both! Please meet Jean-Marc and his feline companion Norman…
